Shift - Monday – Friday; 8:00 AM-5:00 PM(40.0 hours/week). Possibly some holidays.

Job Summary - The University of Kentucky Veterinary Diagnostic Laboratory (UKVDL) develops and applies state-of-the-art diagnostic methodology to improve animal health and marketability, to protect the public health and to assist in the preservation of the human-animal bond through the principles of One Health. This position is a vital member of the team serving as a Diagnostic Technician in the Virology/Serology Department, whose duties include performing a variety of assays/tests such as serum neutralization, virus isolation and ELISA testing that identify and/or confirm animal diseases. This position is located at the Coldstream Research Campus off Newtown Pike (great location and free parking). As a part of the University of Kentucky, we also offer exceptional benefits. Skills / Knowledge / Abilities

Does this position have supervisory responsibilities? - No

Preferred Education/Experience - Bachelor of Science. Related experience in either a laboratory or veterinary field with special consideration for previous virology/serology laboratory experience. LIMS and QA/QC experience.
