We are seeking an experienced Commercial HVAC Service Technician specializing in direct expansion (DX) equipment . This position is focused on troubleshooting, repairing, replacing, and commissioning rooftop units, split systems, package units, and other DX equipment . While this is not a chiller or boiler technician position , experience working around central plant equipment is a plus and occasional support of those projects may be required.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, repair, and replace commercial DX HVAC equipment.
• Install, start up, and commission rooftop units, split systems, package units, and related controls.
• Perform testing, balancing, and operational verification of new installations.
• Read plans, specifications, wiring diagrams, and sequence of operations.
• Coordinate work with project managers, customers, and other trades.
• Lead small crews and oversee field activities when required.
• Complete service documentation using mobile technology.
• Occasionally assist with commercial mechanical projects involving chillers, boilers, pumps, cooling towers, and hydronic piping systems.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of commercial HVAC experience preferred
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills on DX systems and rooftop equipment .
• Experience with commercial controls and electrical troubleshooting.
• Experience with chillers, boilers, pumps, cooling towers, or hydronic systems is beneficial but not required .
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Leadership or foreman experience preferred.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Self-motivated, dependable, and capable of working independently.
• Comfortable using smartphones and tablets for field reporting.
• Flexibility to meet customer schedules and project requirements.
