Principal Splunk Architect

Our client is seeking a Principal Splunk Architect to join their team. As a Principal Splunk Architect, you will be part of the Cybersecurity Engineering Tools & Platforms team. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong analytical skills, resilience in high-pressure situations, and a proactive approach to problem-solving, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Principal Splunk Architect

Location: New York, NY (On-Site, 4 days a week)

What's the Job?

• Take ownership of a large-scale, mission-critical Splunk platform central to enterprise observability and cybersecurity.
• Design, develop, and optimize high-throughput data ingestion pipelines and integrations.
• Lead incident response, root cause analysis, and systemic fixes, embedding SRE principles.
• Drive platform reliability, capacity planning, and performance engineering using modern monitoring tools.
• Mentor engineers and influence engineering direction through technical expertise as an individual contributor.

What's Needed?

• Deep, hands-on expertise in Splunk platform engineering and large-scale SIEM environments.
• Extensive experience with Linux/Unix systems, networking fundamentals, and distributed systems.
• Proficiency in programming and scripting languages such as Python, Go, or Java.
• Strong background in Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) principles and automation frameworks.
• Ability to operate independently in high-pressure situations with a focus on automation and scalability.
