Public Safety Officer - Multiple Shifts AvailableAre you ready to make a difference in a campus community that values service, professionalism, and care? The current opening is for the evening and/or overnight shift.As a Public Safety Officer, you'll help maintain a safe and welcoming environment for students, faculty, staff, and visitors. Through proactive patrols, emergency response, and community engagement, you'll be an essential part of our commitment to fostering a secure and inclusive campus.Key Responsibilities:Patrol campus buildings, grounds, and parking areas to promote safety and deter crimeRespond promptly to emergencies, incidents, and calls for assistancePrepare clear and detailed incident reports and maintain accurate recordsProvide leadership and guidance to student and part-time security personnelEngage with the campus community through respectful and visible presenceSupport campus events and maintain readiness for emergenciesQualifications:High school diploma or equivalent required; additional security or law enforcement training preferredPrior experience in security, law enforcement, or military service is a plusExcellent communication and problem-solving skillsAbility to remain calm and decisive under pressurePhysical ability to patrol campus on foot, lift up to 50 lbs., and respond quickly to emergenciesValid driver's license and clean driving recordWillingness to work nights, weekends, holidays, and special events as neededMust pass a background check Working Conditions: This position involves both indoor and outdoor work in all weather conditions.
