Invasive Cardiovascular Technologists are allied health professionals who perform diagnostic examinations at the request or direction of an Interventional Cardiologist during invasive and noninvasive cardiology, and/or peripheral vascular study procedures. The technologist collects and records subjective data to obtain information leading to correct anatomical and physiological diagnoses for each patient. Candidates must have a minimum of an Associate Degree or be a graduate of an approved Cardiovascular Training Program or an accredited Allied Health Program. Certification as a Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) is required. At least 2 years of experience in the cardiovascular specialty is necessary. Candidates must also obtain and maintain certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and Adult Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS). Trusted Talent Job ID #JN -.
