Job Responsibilities Contributes to the assessment of patients by collecting data for review. Administers medications and observes patients for adverse reactions. Evaluates learning needs of patients and families and provides education based on age, culture, and willingness to learn. Performs job duties in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act. Might triage patients and refer to a clinician if needed. Might relay information to patients. Might carry out orders by the prescriber as it pertains to the patient needs. Might perform administrative/clerical duties in support of the clinical department. Might perform plan of care interventions. Skills and Attributes Requires critical thinking skills and decisive judgment. Works under general supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action. Applies more advanced skills and knowledge in their area of specialization. Position Requirements Work Experience: No experience required. Education: High school diploma, GED or higher required upon hire. Licensure/Certification: LPN – licensed practical nurse, eligible to practice in Kentucky, required upon hire; BLS – Basic Life Support certified within 45 days of employment. #J-18808-Ljbffr
