Payroll Specialist

Job Posting

Pay Rate: $50,000- $60,000 depending on qualifications and experience

Responsibilities:

• Process and submit weekly payrolls in a timely and efficient manner.
• Review and process daily employee maintenance to ensure accuracy in payroll system.
• Complete maintenance for benefit related items; PTO, Insurance, 401K, etc. in payroll system.
• Preparation of payroll reports.
• Calculate retro pay including shift differentials.
• Verify and process wage garnishments, child support, and other involuntary court-ordered payments in a timely manner.
• Communicate issues and resolutions to team members.
• Complete employment verification requests.
• Provide exemplary customer service by answering employee/facility phone calls and emails in a timely and professional manner.
• Other items as directed.

Qualifications:

• The ideal candidate must be dedicated, organized, proactive, and possess a desire to learn.
• Must be able to work in a fast paced, deadline driven, team environment for a mid-sized growing company.
• Must be computer proficient.
• Payroll experience preferred, 5+ years.
• Excel software experience preferred.
• Ultimate Software experience not required but preferred.
• Professional speaking voice as well as exceptional communication skills are required.
• Must have attention to detail.
• Must be able to review daily tasks and set priorities in order to operate efficiently and accurately.
