CT Technologist

The Radiologic Technologist must demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served. The individual must possess the ability to assess data reflective of the patient's status and interpret the appropriate information needed to identify each patient's needs. Responsibilities include providing radiographic examination of all body parts for diagnostic interpretation. Must exercise professional judgment in the performance of procedures and apply principles of radiation protection. Maintain patient records and files. Assume responsibility for the quality assurance program. Pursue continuing education. Assist in the transfer of patients to and from radiology. In the absence of a supervisor, assume responsibility for the department. Rotate shifts as required. Perform ancillary duties as requested by supervisor. Follow established policies and procedures. Assist in maintaining general hygiene of the department. Must be able to work well in stressful situations. Must be willing to take on-call duties and report to work within 20 minutes. Must be willing to learn other imaging modalities as required. Maintain competency in ancillary modalities. Perform additional duties as assigned.
