Now Hiring: Cashier
May’s Drive-In – Lewisburg - 2675 State Route 405, Milton, PA
May’s Drive-In is looking for Cashiers to join our team. We’re a fast-paced, high-volume restaurant with a strong local following, and we take pride in serving quality products to our customers.
Position Type:
- Part-time or full-time available
- Early afternoon to night (8PM)
- Weekend availability strongly preferred
Availability Requirements (non-negotiable)
- Minimum 15 hours per week
- Must be available at least one weekend day per week
- Must be available for evening and closing shifts
- Must be available on holidays and busy days throughout the year (Mother's Day, Memorial Day, 4th of July day/weekend, Graduation weekend, Labor Day, etc.) — availability is mandatory on these days and requests will not be approved. We are closed for all major holidays
- Schedules are posted weekly — we need employees who can commit to consistent, reliable availability
- Significant changes to availability during the season must be communicated to management immediately.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet customers warmly and provide friendly, professional service
- Accurately take customer orders in person or over the phone
- Process payments correctly (cash, credit/debit cards, gift cards, mobile pay)
- Operate the POS system efficiently and enter orders without errors
- Handle cash responsibly, including giving correct change
- Maintain a clean and organized front counter area
- Answer customer questions about menu items, specials, and pricing
- Communicate clearly with kitchen staff to ensure order accuracy
- Resolve customer concerns or complaints politely and professionally
- Follow food safety and company policies to our standards
Qualifications:
- Strong multitasking and time management skills
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure
- Reliable, punctual, and ready to work
- Knowledge of food safety standards
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs and stand for extended periods
