For proof, look no further than our strong working relationships and extraordinary workforce. We are seeking a Safety Tech for work in the Whiting, IN area. The Safety Tech conducts regular walk through inspections of construction areas; identifies, documents and recommends resolutions of hazardous or potentially hazardous conditions and follows through to ensure that corrections have been made; documents and investigates all accidents, safety violations and other unsafe conditions or activities; compiles data, photographs, etc. and prepares all pertinent forms and reports according to corporate procedures and federal, state and local regulations associated with accidents; issues various entry permits (i.e. to confined spaces) as required; assists in emergency rescues as required; assists in maintaining fire protection and grounding systems; assists in controlling hazardous working conditions and unsafe employee activities through interfacing with management/supervisory personnel; participates in developing and conducting personnel safety training programs. Essential Qualifications Technical training and/or industrial related safety experience Written pre-employment qualification test Post-offer drug/alcohol screen and physical evaluation Applicant/employee must not pose a direct threat to the health or safety of others in the workplace Compensation Final agreed upon compensation is based upon individual qualifications and experience.
