In the progressive and booming construction market, we’re guided by safety, integrity, and a commitment to excellence.Across New York State our notable projects include the Time Warner Building, Rockefeller Center, Lincoln Center, Yankee Stadium, Madison Square Garden, Seven World Trade Center and Goldman Sachs' Lower Manhattan Headquarters.Extraordinary Projects need Exceptional TalentDESCRIPTION:As a Senior Estimator at WDF Inc., reporting to the Chief Estimator you will have the opportunity to:Review and incorporate historical data from purchase orders, subcontracts, productivity analysis reports, etc. into unit and manhour figuresProvide and/or coordinate full estimating services on large, complex work and all types of contractsReview proposal specifications, drawings, attend pre-bid meetings, etc. to determine scope of work and required contents of estimate.Provide complete conceptual (or bidwork) and final estimating input on complex projectsProvide technical support to personnel preparing discipline estimates for assigned bidsInsure all working documents and data are maintained to back-up estimate figuresAssist contracting department during preparation of inquiries and final evaluation of submitted bids as requiredTrack awarded contracts as required - may include estimating/pricing extra work items, change orders, credit; procuring materials, etc.Perform additional assignments per supervisor’s directionREQUIREMENTS:Bachelor degree in Engineering, Construction Management or similar from an accredited institution5+ years of relevant estimating and project management experience10 or more years experience estimating for building projectsPrevious estimating experience on projects over $100M in valueHands on experience in public projects, including buildings, infrastructure, and/or commercial construction projectsExperience working with HCSS Heavy Bid, Blue Beam, MS Excel, SmartBidThorough knowledge of company procedures, estimating techniques, all engineering disciplines, cost control systems and accounts requiredGood communication skills to effectively solicit and work with individual project owner’s representatives, material suppliers and subcontractors in pre-bid estimate preparations and post-bid negotiationsCapable of effectively working within a cohesive Heavy Civil estimating staff to facilitate comprehensive cost proposals and conclude efforts during joint venture team reviews on major projects when applicableExcellent written and verbal skillsOUR MISSIONWe build critical infrastructure that creates a better world.OUR VISIONWe strive to be the preeminent full-service civil, building, and specialty contractor by delivering innovative, transformative projects through world-class execution.
