Requirements of the Controller Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance 7+ years of progressive experience in accounting or finance 3+ years of supervisory experience Fundamental knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting and internal controls CPA required Exceptional oral and written communication skills Benefits of the Controller Competitive salary and excellent benefits Working for a financially sound organization A culture that values growth, wellness and teamwork Responsibilities of the Controller Lead the preparation and review of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and provide detailed analysis and commentary on financial results. Ensure compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and other regulatory requirements. Lead the development and enhancement of month end summary decks, budget and forecast Maintain and enhance the company’s accounting systems and processes. Manage the monthly close process and ensure timely completion. Develop, implement, and monitor internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure the accuracy of financial data. Coordinate and support internal and external audits. Ensure compliance with tax and regulatory filings. Work closely with the Corporate Controller and other senior management to support strategic financial initiatives. Lead, mentor, and develop the accounting team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement. Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to team members.
