Materials Manager And Inventory AccountantCaffe Vita has been an independent and locally-owned coffee roasting company since 1995. From our beginnings at the base of Seattle's Queen Anne neighborhood, we now operate 10 locations among Seattle, Brooklyn, and Phoenix. Come join our team! We are hiring a detail-oriented Materials Manager and Inventory Accountant to perform and coordinate buying activities within our organization. This person will focus on partnering with and developing supplier relationships to improve outcomes for our customers and stakeholders. As a member of the finance team, this role reports to the CFO.Procurement responsibilities:Optimize inventory levels, investment and carrying costsVet and develop close working relationships with new and existing suppliersManage supplier performance, including pricing, lead times, delivery reliability, and product qualityProcure products in coordination with managers across the organizationDevelop purchasing budgets, policies and procurement strategiesManage logistics, freight and third-party warehousesArrange shipping and obtain competitive freight ratesMonitor obsolete, slow-moving, and excess inventorySupport operations with accurate data, including product usage and forecasts, risk analyses, etc.Inventory accounting responsibilities:Coordinate physical inventory counts at all locationsInvestigate inventory variances and recommend corrective actionsManage the stock ledger and SKU maintenancePerform cost accounting related to co-manufactured productsAnalyze operational costs, labor, overhead, and material variancesAssist in pricing analyses, monthly close and gross margin reportingQualifications:Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field3-5 years of progressive experience in inventory accounting, cost accounting, purchasing, or supply chain managementExperience negotiating multi-year, multi-location supply agreementsExperience in manufacturing, distribution, or food and beverage environments preferredStrong knowledge of GAAP and inventory costing methodologiesExperience with ERP systems (NetSuite, SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, Oracle, Sage, Acumatica, etc.)Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and financial modelingStrong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skillsExcellent communication and negotiation abilities, both written and verbalPreferred certifications include Certified Management Accountant (CMA), Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP), or Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM)Experience supervising employees preferredWe Offer:Competitive salary and benefitsCasual office environmentMedical/Dental Insurance401k with Company matchPaid time offEmployee discounts and free coffee beveragesSeattle, WA Onsite Full Time $80,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
