Some flexibility with hours based on patient scheduling needs. Highlights: Fast-paced chemotherapy infusion unit with immediate need for skilled nursing professionals Work with a dedicated oncology team providing critical cancer treatment services Experience with Cerner EMR and Intellidose (TxM) systems highly valued Weekend-free schedule with early finish on Fridays Acute care setting focused on specialized infusion therapies Professional dress code: solid color scrubs (Ceil Blue, Royal Blue, Burgundy/Wine, or Pewter Gray) Requirements: Active Indiana RN license or ability to obtain prior to start date Current BLS (AHA) and ACLS (AHA) certifications required Chemotherapy infusion experience strongly preferred Chemo certification highly desired Experience accessing ports and establishing peripheral IV access for lab draws and therapies Proficiency in administering IV chemotherapy, biologics, and supportive care medications Responsibilities: Conduct comprehensive patient assessments prior to IV treatments Access central ports and establish peripheral IV access for laboratory draws and therapeutic infusions Administer chemotherapy and other IV infusions while operating infusion equipment and monitoring patients throughout treatment Provide prescribed intravenous and oral pre-treatment medications Monitor patients for side effects or adverse reactions and implement appropriate interventions per established protocols Deliver compassionate pre- and post-treatment patient care and education Why It's a Great Opportunity: Join a busy oncology infusion team that is urgently seeking experienced nursing professionals to help deliver life-saving cancer treatments.
