Purpose:
To prepare and serve safe nutritious meals and snacks for children while following food safety standards and meeting individual dietary needs.
Job Responsibilities:
- Prepare and serve nutritious meals
- Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines
- Accommodate food allergies and special dietary needs
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen and food preparation areas
- Store and label food properly
- Monitor and order food inventory
- Wash dishes and sanitize cooking equipment and surfaces
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED
- Experience in food service, cooking or kitchen work
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices (either have or gain Food Manager Certification within 15 days of hire).
- Ability to follow food safety guidelines
- Clear communication
- Understanding of food allergies and special dietary needs

This is a non-exempt 30 hours per week position with an hourly wage of $17.00.
