Purpose:

To prepare and serve safe nutritious meals and snacks for children while following food safety standards and meeting individual dietary needs.

Job Responsibilities:

• Prepare and serve nutritious meals
• Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines
• Accommodate food allergies and special dietary needs
• Maintain cleanliness of kitchen and food preparation areas
• Store and label food properly
• Monitor and order food inventory
• Wash dishes and sanitize cooking equipment and surfaces

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED
• Experience in food service, cooking or kitchen work
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices (either have or gain Food Manager Certification within 15 days of hire).
• Ability to follow food safety guidelines
• Clear communication
• Understanding of food allergies and special dietary needs

This is a non-exempt 30 hours per week position with an hourly wage of $17.00.
