Electrophysics Engineer/Scientist (Radar Analysis)

Salary: $73,950 - 124,200 per year Requirements:
- Bachelor of Science degree in engineering focused on electrical, mechanical, or aeronautical engineering; computer science; data science; mathematics; physics; chemistry; or a directly related equivalent qualification
- At least 1 year of experience with radar systems
- At least 1 year of experience in radar systems analysis and design
- Preferred: comprehensive understanding of circuit design and working with schematics
- Preferred: 2 or more years of related work experience, or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (Level 2)
- Preferred: at least 1 year of experience with internal radar operation
- Preferred: familiarity with Digital Radio Frequency Memory (DRFM) and field-programmable gate arrays (FPGAs)
- Preferred: experience with radar testing, hardware/software integration and testing, and developing embedded hardware/software architectures
- Preferred: knowledge of RF and microwave design
- Must satisfy our Conflict of Interest assessment process
- Must meet U.S. export control requirements as a U.S. Person
- Requires an active U.S. Secret Security Clearance; U.S. citizenship is required. A clearance active within the past 24 months is considered active.

- Analyze customer and system requirements and help develop architectural approaches and detailed specifications for new and upgraded SIL test sites and common products, including sites in St. Louis and remote locations
- Develop high-level and detailed designs that align with requirements and specifications
- Develop and maintain radar test-station hardware
- Validate designs through analysis, peer review, and standalone testing
- Track and report technical performance measures to monitor progress and confirm compliance with requirements
- Support supplier management with make-or-buy recommendations and technical services such as fabrication
- Help integrate designs into existing SIL infrastructure
- Provide engineering support to stakeholders throughout the lifecycle of SIL products, including existing products
- Investigate emerging technologies and develop concepts for future product designs
