BFMO SharePoint Support

SUMMARY

Responsible for providing comprehensive SharePoint and Microsoft Access database support within the Marine Corps Warfighting Laboratory/Futures Directorate (MCWL/FD) G-8 in order to enable ongoing financial operations support to the organization.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide on/off site on call technical support of functional Access Databases used to support the management of organizational budgets.
• Provide functional analysis of databases and suggest and implement modifications of enhancements.
• Prepare technical instructions and/or user manuals and conduct user training for G-8 personnel.
• Maintain content and functionality of G-8 SharePoint site in coordination with command’s Information/Knowledge Management representatives.
• Develop, troubleshoot and integrate custom software applications across multiple distributed databases for financial management applications.
• Provide M365 SharePoint, Power Automate, and Power Apps development support to the G-8, developing custom web parts and workflows to optimize business processes and enhance user experience. Contribute to improving the usability and functionality of G-8 SharePoint sites by incorporating user feedback and industry best practices to continuously enhance the Section’s functionality.
• Provide on-site technical and helpdesk support to project officers across all MCWL/FD functional Divisions in the planning and preparation of funding request packages prior to submission to the G-8.
• Provide administrative support for standard office operation and support functions.
• Attend portfolio, program, project, or financial review meetings as required.
• Maintain regular and punctual attendance.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

· Microsoft Certified: Microsoft Office Specialist Access and SharePoint Administrator Associate or equivalent certifications (Minimum two (2) plus years of experience in lieu of certification is acceptable).

• Bachelor’s degree preferred, or military education equivalent to experience.
• Experience and certification in the following areas:

o MS Power Apps any level: App Maker (PL-100); Consultant (PL-200); Developer (PL-400) o MS Power Automate Developer (PL-500) o Security+ certification - CompTIA or DoD required industry standard equivalent.

• Must have a comprehensive knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite.
• Must obtain and maintain a valid Secret security clearance (generally, U.S. citizenship required).
• Must obtain and maintain any necessary security access and/or background checks.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

• Working knowledge of the Marine Corps, its missions, force structure and war‑fighting concepts. In addition, knowledge of Marine Corps combat development process.
• Demonstrated ability to train and support end-users.
• Demonstrated troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills.
• Excellent oral and written communications skills.
• Ability to work independently with little or no supervision and be exceedingly well organized and flexible.

• Working knowledge and experience with the following financial systems:

o Program Budget Information System (PBIS) o Navy Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) o Defense Travel System (DTS) o Wide Area Workflow (WAWF) o Marine Reserve Orders Writing System (MROWS)

WORK SCHEDULE

Full-time. May be required to work additional hours as needed to complete assignment or project.

TRAVEL

The expected travel time is less than 25%.

DRIVING REQUIREMENTS

Must have or be able to attain a valid state driver’s license and be insurable on the company’s automobile insurance policy. Driving, with or without accommodation, may be required when traveling for training and/or short occasional amounts of local driving. The expected driving time is less than 25%.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Work is primarily performed in a professional office setting, including the normal office equipment (e.g., computer, fax machines, copier) and with a wide variety of people in differing functions, personalities, and abilities.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Position consists of seeing up close and sitting for long periods of time, bending, stooping, crouching, and lifting up to 20 pounds. Frequently uses hands/fingers for manipulation of keyboard and mouse.
