Operations Manager

Job Summary Partner with General Manager to develop strategy and achieve Branch objectives. Directs and supervises all Branch operational functions including but not limited to Service Department, Equipment Department, Customer Service, Accounting, and Inventory. Implement organizational best practices within branch. Essential Functions Manage Accounting & Financial Activities: Manage branch P&L, develop budgets, manage accounts payable/receivable, address delinquent accounts. Customer Service: Partner with Branch Manager to create a customer service culture within the branch. Resolve customer problems, manage Customer Service personnel, manage Service Department, assess customer satisfaction. Inventory Management: Manage merchandise, parts, equipment inventory processes and inventory turns; resolve inventory variances; participate in excess inventory liquidation; partner with Operations Manager to create customer service culture. Performance Management: Promote teamwork, motivation, morale; evaluate direct reports, coach, mentor; develop performance improvement plans. Staffing: Participate in selection process; make hiring/promotion decisions; determine personnel needs to ensure coverage. People Management Manage direct reports including hiring, development, performance management, goal setting. Ensure adherence to business policies, practices, and the Company’s Code of Conduct. Additional Functions Administrative: Implement policies, procedures, guidelines, and standards; identify process improvements; audit files and records; plan meetings, seminars; authorize training; approve time cards, overtime, time off. Job Qualifications Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience. General computer proficiency including MS Office. Valid driver’s license with a good driving record. Preferred Qualifications Degree in general business. Previous management experience. Experience in finance, inventory management, accounting or human resources. Dental industry knowledge. Working Conditions Physical Demands Moderate physical activity. Sitting or standing: requires sitting, driving, standing. Operating a computer or other office devices for majority of workday. Communication skills: in person, phone, writing. Understanding, exchanging accurate info with coworkers, customers, vendors. Reading and interpreting various electronic and written documents. Environmental Factors Office environment with desks, chairs, computers; team members occupy desks or meeting spaces. Travel to customer locations to provide services and support. Travel and On-Call Requires co-travel and overnight stay.
