Join Our OB Hospitalist Team

We are seeking dedicated professionals to become part of our OB Hospitalist team, which includes:

• 1 Full-Time, 1 Part-Time, and 3 PRN OB Hospitalists
• 1 OBGYN, 4 Advanced Practice Providers (APPs), and 2 Midwives

Our facility handles a significant number of births annually and offers:

• 7 shifts per month, each lasting 24 hours
• A Level II NICU, staffed around the clock by Pediatric Hospitalists and NICU Nurses, with an on-site blood bank
• Teaching opportunities for Family Medicine Residents and Medical Students, with L&D available 24/7
• Access to in-house specialists for consultations in various fields, including Cardiology, Orthopedics, and Anesthesiology
• A collaborative relationship with MercyOne Des Moines Perinatology for high-risk obstetric management

Our organization operates a regional health system that spans 14 counties, which includes:

• Our main medical center, seven critical access hospitals, and 42 clinics in northern Iowa
• A service area with a population of approximately 260,000
• A 342-bed regional referral teaching hospital recognized as a Top 100 Hospital nationally
• Access to a wide range of specialists, lab services, radiology, and pharmacy
• Over 300 employed providers across various specialties, including OBGYN, Cardiology, General Surgery, and more

Candidate Qualifications

We are looking for candidates who meet the following criteria:

• Board Certified or Board Eligible, with certification required within three years of eligibility
• H1B candidates are welcome to apply
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team
• Must possess or be eligible for a State of Iowa physician license, Iowa Controlled Substance Certificate, and Federal DEA Certificate

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a highly competitive compensation package, which includes:

• Base Salary: $400,000 per year
• Bonus package of $150,000
• Relocation allowance of up to $15,000
• Annual CME allowance of $6,000
• Eligibility for Public Student Loan Forgiveness
