Nurse Manager - NICU

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Nurse Manager – NICU to lead our Level IV Neonatal Intensive Care Unit team. This leadership role is responsible for overseeing clinical operations, patient care delivery, staff development, quality outcomes, and fiscal management within a highly specialized neonatal care environment. The Nurse Manager will foster a culture of excellence, collaboration, and patient/family-centered care while ensuring compliance with hospital standards, regulatory requirements, and evidence-based nursing practice. Key Responsibilities Provide leadership and operational oversight for the NICU Lead and support nursing staff through mentorship, coaching, and professional development Ensure high-quality, safety, and compassionate patient care for neonatal populations Manage staffing, budgeting, resource allocation, and departmental performance initiatives Promote interdisciplinary collaboration and strong communication across teams Drive quality improvement, patient safety, and service excellence initiatives Maintain compliance with regulatory standards, hospital policies, and best practices Qualifications Current RN license in New York State Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required BLS, ACLS, NRP, and PALS certifications required Minimum 5 years of Level IV NICU clinical experience At least 1 year of nursing leadership or management experience Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, and team-building skills Preferred Qualifications NICU specialty certification Master’s degree in nursing 3+ years of leadership experience preferred If you are passionate about neonatal care and committed to leading high-performing teams in a collaborative environment, we encourage you to apply.
