Job Description

The Caregiver Health Nurse (RN) is responsible for delivering high-quality clinical caregiver health services. This role ensures compliance with applicable state and federal regulations, as well as organizational policies. The Caregiver Health Nurse will collaborate with various teams, including Infection Prevention, Absence and Disability Management, Workers' Compensation, and Well-being, to provide comprehensive occupational and environmental health services.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct pre-employment health screenings in collaboration with Human Resources and management, addressing any specific accommodations or unique circumstances.
• Manage health surveillance services, including monitoring for Tuberculosis, hazardous drugs, lead exposure, and hearing conservation, in accordance with regulations.
• Ensure the maintenance, storage, accuracy, and confidentiality of employee health records, adhering to established standard operating procedures.
• Participate in committees and huddles to share employee health data, provide insights on Occupational Health standards, and collaborate on risk reduction measures.
• Analyze occupational incident data to identify trends and recommend prevention or mitigation strategies.
• Administer vaccinations as required by organizational policy.
• Provide clinical guidance regarding caregivers with infectious diseases to minimize the risk of transmission.
• Support caregivers in cases of exposure to blood/bodily fluids or infectious diseases, ensuring timely communication of results.
• Travel to different locations as required to offer on-site health services.
• Stay informed about Well-being resources and ensure effective communication with caregivers to support health and well-being initiatives.
• Contribute to the development of standard operating procedures and other organizational projects.
• Manage health supplies to maintain adequate inventory levels.

Requirements

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
• Friendly and service-oriented demeanor.
• Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks.
• Working knowledge of healthcare regulatory requirements, including Joint Commission standards and OSHA regulations.
• Must be proficient in standard electronic health record systems; knowledge of new in-house EHR system preferred.
