Temporary Full-Time Maintenance Porter

The Springs at Greer Gardens Eugene, OR At The Springs Living, our purpose is to change the way people think, feel, and experience senior living. We are currently seeking a dependable and team-oriented Maintenance Porter to support the daily operations and upkeep of our community. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys variety in their day, takes pride in maintaining beautiful spaces, and is always willing to lend a helping hand.

What You'll Do

Responsibilities include assisting with building maintenance, responding to HVAC-related needs, supporting housekeeping tasks, and helping maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for residents and guests.

Daily Responsibilities

• Assist residents with packages, groceries, and other requests as needed
• Complete trash and recycling removal throughout the community
• Support maintenance tasks including unclogging drains, cleanup, and hauling materials
• Assist with HVAC-related issues and basic troubleshooting
• Conduct routine security rounds throughout the property
• Help maintain building exterior and grounds appearance
• Set up and tear down for special events and community functions
• Maintain common areas through carpet cleaning, touch-up painting, staining, and floor care
• Clean shared spaces and public restrooms
• Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisor

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older
• Must pass a background check and drug screening
• Previous maintenance, construction, or apartment maintenance experience preferred, but not required
• Ability to troubleshoot basic mechanical or electrical issues preferred
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Willingness to learn and grow in building maintenance skills

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, pushing, and pulling throughout the workday
• Ability to walk throughout the community for extended periods of time
• Position involves both light and heavy physical activity

Work Environment

This position may involve exposure to:

• Cleaning chemicals
• Biohazard materials including blood or bodily fluids
• Sharps exposure
• Animal dander and latex

Compensation & Benefits

Pay: Starting at $16.50/hour Job Type: Temporary, Full-Time
