Limited Medical Radiologic Technologist

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Demonstrates competency in the performance of job related skills appropriate to his/her customer populations and departmental services while providing excellent customer service. Utilizes and operates equipment and mechanical devices which provide for a functional, effective, and safe environment within their scope of practice. Adheres to policies, procedures, guidelines relative to departmental operations. Demonstrates competency in the performance of job related skills appropriate to his/her customer populations and departmental services. Apply established protocols to obtain necessary limited radiographs and/or DEXA. Required to set up and use all necessary diagnostic equipment for exam completion in limited general diagnostic exams. Positions patients for radiological and/or DEXA examinations. Produces limited radiographs (x-rays) to aid in the diagnosis of medical problems. Prevents patient from being exposed to unnecessary radiation. Has knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices and procedures. Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. Works under immediate supervision. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

License/Certification: Requires registration as a Limited Medical Radiologic Technologist in Radiology. Requires registration as a Limited Medical Radiologic Technologist in Radiology by the State SimonMed Imaging requires valid CPR certification

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

This position may require duties including lifting and carrying up to 40 pounds, sitting for prolonged periods of time, with frequent standing and walking.
