Position Overview Title: School Bus Driver – Education in the Unorganized Territory Location: Silver Ridge, Maine Grade / Admin Unit: 10 / Operation/Maintenance Job Class Code: 8000 Schedule: Part‑time, 20 hours weekly Salary: $15.10 – $19.92 per hour Opening Date: July 09, 2026 Closing Date: July 23, 2026 Responsibilities Safely operate a school bus to transport students to and from school and school‑related activities. Enforce bus rules to maintain student discipline and report violations or incidents. Conduct pre‑ and post‑trip inspections and schedule maintenance as needed. Keep the bus clean and presentable at all times. Complete required reports and ensure students are picked up and dropped off at authorized stops in compliance with school policies and safety regulations. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. At least 21 years of age. No criminal record or driving violations. Licensing / Registration / Certification Must hold a valid Maine Class B Motor Vehicle Operator's License with passenger and school bus endorsement.
