We work hard to be our community’s employer of choice as we all live our purpose: We exist to unleash freedom for pet parents by keeping their petshappy, healthy and safe.Responsibilities:Provide electrical concepts in support of project initiatives that will aid in the advancement of PSB product lines and broaden PSB's technical platforms and featuresDetermine electrical technical feasibility of new technology proposalsDevelop new product specifications (wide range of technologies)Create electrical designs in support of new technology effortsSchematic development Low volume PCBA buildsWorks with Electrical and Mechanical Engineer(s) to optimize compatibility of electrical and mechanical portions of product designWorks closely with the project lead throughout ideation, concept development, and feasibility testingCompletes summary documentation, including research white papersExecutes the company’s Intellectual Property Strategy by recognizing and disclosing inventions and supporting patent applicationsSupports development of instruction manuals, training manuals, and other consumer service information during technology transfer phaseActively participates in and conducts competitive product analysisQualifications:Minimum of 8 years of electronic design experience 4 -year technical degree from an accredited institution, with an emphasis on electrical or electronic engineeringExperience in a wide array of technologies is preferredSelf-starting, self-motivated, and a goal-oriented team memberProficient user of Schematic Capture software (Altium a plus)Exceptional at building and testing prototype PCBA Proficient user of graphical presentation and documentation toolsExcellent computer skills including knowledge of common Office software such as Microsoft Word and ExcelExcellent written and oral communication skillsPossesses excellent problem solving and analytical skillsHas ability to multi-task and prioritize multiple projects at one time to meet deadlinesPossesses both the ability to work independently and work with a team to accomplish tasksTravel both domestically and internationally (10%)Accountabilities:Complete assigned projects according to project timelinesComplete all project documentation Complete assigned projects within budgetExecutes the company’s Intellectual Property Strategy by designing with the goal of patentable designsUltimately accountable to the continued success and growth of PSBRelationships:Reports directly to Director of EngineeringMaintains an effective working relationship with team members throughout PSBMaintains an effective working relationship with product suppliers, contract manufacturers, and contract consultantsBENEFITS:Working for PetSafe Brands definitely has its benefits.
