divh2Public Space Attendant/h2pThe Public Space Attendant is responsible for the following:/pulliMaintaining the cleanliness and general appearance of public areas and corridors of the hotel/liliCleaning furniture, elevators, glass, planters, etc. in public areas such as lobby, pool, and public restrooms/liliSweeping, mopping and vacuuming floors, hallways and stairwells/liliSpot cleaning walls, carpets, light fixtures, etc./liliReporting maintenance problems or completing repair orders/liliParticipate in all mandatory job training and meetings/liliReview and approve timecard weekly for accuracy/li/ulpKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities/pulliGood interpersonal skills/liliAbility to work in a courteous, tactful, and patient manner with other associates, management, guests, vendors, suppliers, and other members of the general public conducting business with the property/liliAbility to communicate effectively/liliAbility to work in a fast-paced, high-energy and demanding work environment/liliBasic knowledge of hotel operations or ability to learn quickly/liliAbility to work as a team player with all levels of associates/liliDedicated, hard-working, self-motivated/liliPractice safety standards at all times/li/ulpSpecial Requirements:/pulliPrompt and regular attendance./liliThe hotel operates 7 days a week, 24 hours a day./liliMust be available a minimum of 16 hours per week/liliDepartment schedules must accommodate fluctuating business demands and associates may be asked to work shifts other than those they prefer or normally work, and overtime as required/liliComply with hotel and/or department uniform and professional behavior and appearance standards/liliCarry out all reasonable requests by team leaders and managers and act as a team player with all levels of staff/li/ulpThe duties listed above are intended only as illustrations of the various types of work that may be performed.
