How you'll contribute A Cat Scan Technician who excels in this role:
- Reviews patient history and physician's orders.
- Educates patients on procedures, equipment, and exams to ensure understanding and cooperation.
- Prepares and administers contrast media and/or medications within scope of practice when ordered.
- Monitors patient condition and responds to changes appropriately.
- Prepares equipment and supplies; implements safety standards and performs quality control checks.
- Troubleshoots, resolves, and/or reports equipment malfunctions.
- Positions patients and performs imaging procedures.
- Analyzes imaging results, identifies quality issues, and takes corrective action, including repositioning patients and repeating procedures if needed.
- Enters, transmits, and reports scan results.

- Education : Two-year certificate, Associate's degree, or Baccalaureate degree.
- Licenses/Certifications: Current Radiation Operator Certificate in state of practice; registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technology in Radiology and Computed Tomography; BLS required.
