Description

American Traveler is hiring a Telemetry RN for a night shift contract requiring at least 3 years of experience and IL licensure.

Details

• Telemetry unit within a hospital setting
• Night shift, 12-hour shifts
• Required to work every other weekend
• First to float among staff
• No on-call responsibilities
• EPIC EMR experience required

Requirements

• Active IL Registered Nurse (RN) license
• BLS and ACLS certification required
• NIHSS certification required
• Minimum 3 years of Telemetry nursing experience required
• EPIC EMR experience required and must be noted in employment history
• 2 current professional references from a Supervisor/Manager/Charge in the relevant area within the last year
• At least one travel reference preferred
• EKG test score of 80% or higher required prior to consideration

Additional Information

• Provide nursing care to patients on continuous cardiac monitoring in a Telemetry unit
• Must work Thanksgiving Day and the Saturday following Thanksgiving
• On-site EKG competency test required on Day 1 of orientation, pass/fail, with a study guide provided in advance
• Local candidates accepted at the same rate
• Returning former permanent or per diem staff must have been separated for at least 12 months to be eligible as a traveler
• RTO limited to a maximum of 3 days for 8-week contracts and 7 days for 13-week contracts
