This is a self-supervised role where you'll use your expert-level technical skills to resolve complex issues and improve efficiency.Act as the go-to subject matter expert for our products, providing high-level support for installation, maintenance, and repairLead the development of training and mentorship plans for new hires and junior engineersUse your independent judgment to analyze regional and customer needs, proactively solving complex problems before, during, and after the installation processServe as a leader in managing escalations and guiding the local team through critical technical issues to ensure a high level of customer satisfactionProvide strategic leadership and direction to your team, referring only the most complex issues to senior leadershipWho You Are: An associate’s degree in Electronics, Information Technology, Medical Technology or related field or equivalent military training is required8+ years of progressive experience repairing or servicing complex mechanical/system hardware and software, or networking/wireless networking OR a Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemistry or related field plus 4+ years/Master’s degree in Management, Biomedical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemistry or related field plus 2+ years of progressive experience repairing or servicing complex mechanical/system hardware and software, or networking/wireless networking Prior experience in coaching/mentoring junior level staffPrior leadership or lead worker experience and proven success in overseeing and guiding a work team’s functional activitiesPreferred Requirements:Understanding of Histology workflow and processes.Excellent analytical, problem analysis, and decision-making skillsEffective planning, organizational, and time management skillsSuccessfully completes training and certification as defined by RD Services Leadership and policyAdvanced knowledge of electronics, electro-mechanical systems, and information technology, with the ability to communicate knowledge to lower-level staffPrevious exposure to College of American Pathologists (CAP) inspections and familiarity with the processes.HT,HTL CertificationA+, Security +, CCNA, or similar certificationsRelocation benefits are not available for this job posting.This is a field-based role that requires daily travel and up to 60% overnight travel. This includes overnight travel throughout the week; some holidays and weekends may be required. Our ideal candidate to reside in either Ohio, Virginia, West Virginia, Tennessee, Kentucky or surrounding areas within 100 miles of either of the states listed.The expected salary range for this position, based on the primary location of Virginia is $78,100 - $145,000 USD annually. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law. A discretionary annual bonus may be available based on individual and Company performance.
