Registered Nurse - Operating Room

Job Summary: Provide preoperative nursing care in a surgical center, ensuring patient safety and comfort throughout the perioperative process. Collaborate with the surgical team to deliver efficient, high-quality care for various procedures, including same-day and overnight stays. Responsibilities: Assess patient needs and prepare them for surgery while maintaining strict infection control protocols. Administer IV medications and manage IV lines with proficiency. Scrub in for surgical procedures, supporting surgeons and operating room staff as needed. Monitor patient status during preop and assist with post-anesthesia care. Document patient care accurately in the EMR system, currently Sunrise with an upcoming EPIC transition. Adhere to all safety guidelines, including license verification and required certifications. Qualifications: Valid BLS certification and at least 55-70 surgical cases experience. Proven expertise in IV therapy, surgical care, and robotics. Ability to scrub in and support perioperative procedures. Strong understanding of preoperative nursing and patient assessment. Flexibility to work day shifts with rotating weekends and on-call duties. Current nursing license in good standing.
