Medical Technologist

Role: Perform manual and automated laboratory tests, accurately report results, and ensure quality control. Maintain and troubleshoot laboratory equipment, follow specimen processing protocols, and stay compliant with hospital policies. Contribute to evaluating new procedures and participate in ongoing education to enhance technical skills. Support patient-centered care across all ages, adhering to safety and confidentiality standards. Responsibilities Operate and maintain laboratory instrumentation, ensuring accuracy and reliability. Perform and review test procedures, report critical values promptly, and document findings. Ensure specimen integrity and proper processing, handling, and rejection when necessary. Maintain knowledge of laboratory forms, requisitions, and information systems. Adhere to safety, infection control, and disaster policies. Assist in evaluating new equipment and procedures, and participate in continuing education. Provide excellent service to patients, physicians, and staff, demonstrating initiative and teamwork. Qualifications Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) certification or equivalent experience. Experience in a laboratory setting or relevant educational background. #J-18808-Ljbffr
