More about our team Join our rehabilitation team with the opportunity to work in one of our 3 outpatient locations and/or an acute care hospital with 48 beds. Our featured hospital units include medical surgical, same day surgery, intensive care unit, progressive care unit, emergency department and women's services. We employ a variety of specialty trained clinicians and feature one-on-one patient care. We offer flexibility that may include non-traditional schedules to best meet patient and employee needs.
How you'll contribute Examines and treats patients with breathing-related conditions, performs diagnostic testing, and collaborates with physicians to develop and implement treatment plans. Provides patient education on therapies and medication use; performs physiotherapy and related treatments. Reports to the Director or Manager of Department.

How you'll contribute Examines and treats patients with breathing-related conditions, performs diagnostic testing, and collaborates with physicians to develop and implement treatment plans. Provides patient education on therapies and medication use; performs physiotherapy and related treatments. Reports to the Director or Manager of Department.
- Measures lung capacity and analyzes blood samples using a blood gas analyzer; may perform bedside PFTs, EKGs, and tobacco-cessation education as ordered.
- Delivers ordered respiratory therapies; monitors, records, and communicates patient condition and response to treatment.
- Responds to codes and emergent calls; assesses patient condition and provides appropriate interventions.
- Evaluates and contributes to respiratory care policies and procedures based on outcomes, research, and best practices.
- Educates patients and families on illness, treatments, device use, and community resources.
- Monitors, receives, stocks, and distributes respiratory supplies and medical gas cylinders; maintains storage areas and equipment readiness.
- Disassembles, cleans, sterilizes, performs preventive maintenance, and calibrates respiratory equipment.
- Performs all responsibilities as needed to fulfill required service levels.
- Participates in performance improvement and required education.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

- Education: Bachelor's Degree in Respiratory Therapy required.
- License: Current Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) license in state of practice.
- Certifications: BCLS required; ACLS, PALS, and NRP preferred.
- Skills: Critical thinking, decisive judgment, and ability to work with minimal supervision in stressful environments.
- Ability to quickly learn and navigate multiple clinical software systems.
- Effective English communication (read, write, speak, and understand). Ability to successfully complete the Skills Competency Checklist within 90 days of hire.)
