If you want to help build a new product from the ground up and grow your skills on a small, high-impact team, then this is that kind of role.As a Software Engineer II, you'll be a valuable member of our development team, working to transform customer needs into technical solutions. Our current stack is .NET and Angular, but we value engineering fundamentals and the ability to learn over specific tech experience.JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:Research, design, implement, and maintain software applications based on user requirements.Write, test, and implement efficient code.Use AI coding tools as part of your daily workflow.Provide recommendations on design and development approach.Stay positive and solution-oriented with team members and stakeholders.EDUCATION:Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.EXPERIENCE:3+ years of related experience.COMPETENCIES – SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE/ABILITIES:Strong technical competency, with a logical, analytical, and creative approach to problem-solving.Ability to communicate clearly within team on complex issues.Comfortable working independently and as part of a team, managing multiple priorities.Adapts well to change and focuses on continuous improvement.Annual compensation range for this role is $100,000- $120,000This position offers a hybrid work option. Nelnet values flexibility and understands the importance of work-life integration.
