Cedar Hill Regional Medical Center GW Health opened its doors this April as the first new full-service hospital in Washington, DC in more than 25 years! Integrating clinical care with existing community providers, Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHC's), The George Washington University Hospital, and our Urgent Care Center in Ward 8, this enhanced integrated delivery system will establish a robust network of care for all District residents, but more importantly, it will ensure residents of Wards 7 and 8 have access to high quality care in their community. Our advanced hospital will offer 136 beds (with the ability to expand to 184 beds), a verified trauma center, adult and pediatric emergency departments, maternal health and newborn delivery, an ambulatory pavilion for clinic visits and other outpatient services, onsite 550-car parking garage, and a helipad for emergency transport.
We are seeking an X-Ray Tech (PRN) Under the direction of the Department Director/Manager/Lead the X-Ray/CT Tech is responsible for producing quality diagnostic images of human anatomy and vascular structure following prescribed protocols. Perform examinations in a proficient, courteous, and professional manner to favorably promote the services offered at the facility. To help achieve our mission, you will complete ancillary tasks to ensure efficient and consistent departmental operations. Your ability to demonstrate radiation protection/safety for patients, staff and self, as outlined in department protocols and regulatory guidelines, to ensure the safety of the patients and staff is of vital importance. Maintaining equipment, exam rooms and work areas in a neat and safe condition to ensure the safety of the patients and employees is required.

Qualifications Requirements High school graduate or equivalent required. Diploma from a certified school of radiologic technology. Minimum 1-2 years of experience as a registered Radiologic Technologist/Computed Tomography Technologist required. Acute care experience preferred. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association required. Active American Registry of Radiology Technologists (ARRT) license required.
Skills COMMUNICATION SKILLS: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, regulatory or accreditation requirements. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, clients, customers, and the general public. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percentage and to draw and interpret car graphs. Ability to calculate figures and percentages. REASONING ABILITY: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions, furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES: Demonstrated knowledge and ensure compliance with all regulatory bodies, e.g. The Joint Commission and American College of Radiology (ACR) and Title 22 standards and guidelines. Always demonstrates compliance with hospital policies and procedures at all times. Demonstrates strong organization, communication and interpersonal skills. Demonstrates ability to relate to clinical personnel and medical staff, as well as ability to interact well with the public. Must have knowledge of PC and applications. Demonstrates ability to perform X-Ray/CT exams independently. Demonstrates ability to follow physician's orders. Demonstrates ability to access patency of IV sites before injections. Demonstrates ability to look up lab values and pull related exams for radiologist viewing.
