Wound Care/ Ostomy Nurse - Full Time

Find your calling at Mercy! The Enterostomal Therapy nurse provides acute and rehabilitative care for patients with select disorders of the gastrointestinal, genitournary and integumentary systems. Decisions involve the interpretation of general policies/procedures/instructions and formulation of methods and procedures. Promotes patient safety using the nursing process in regards to ostomy, wound and skin care. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards. Position Details:

Education: Associate's Degree in Nursing or above required, Bachelor's in Nursing preferred.
Licensure: Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state of practice.
Experience: 4 years acute care nursing experience.
Certifications: American Heart Association BLS.
Other: Excellent communication skills.

Preferred Certifications: Preferred graduate of an 8-week accredited school of Enterostomal Therapy. Preferred certification as Enterostomal Therapist by the WOCN (Wound, Ostomy and Continence Nursing).
