Associate Counsel

Legal AdvisorProvides guidance and advisory support to all departments on legal matters and represents Rivers on certain civil litigation, employment and regulatory matters.We believe that team member engagement is the basis for a great culture and superior guest service. During every interaction, we display three behaviors:Smile, display energy and open body languageProactively greet team members and guests, initiating interaction to provide serviceAlways use a positive parting remark to end the conversationEssential Job Functions:Represent Rivers in a variety of civil litigation matters.Represent Rivers in connection with employment and labor law disputes.Draft and review contracts on behalf of Rivers.Provide legal advice to all Rivers departments.Assist the General Counsel on all Rivers matters including various administrative duties.Independently manage an active caseload.Perform all other duties as assigned.Qualifications:Must be 18 years of age or older.Law Degree from ABA accredited law schoolMember of Pennsylvania Bar.3+ years' litigation experience, with an emphasis on personal injury, labor and employment; workers compensation experience a plus.Excellent drafting and negotiating skills.Ability to lead a team as well as roll up your sleeves and work independently.A conceptual thinker with strong vision, judgment and intellect with ability to work quickly on and prioritize a wide variety of projects.Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work well with team members at all levels.Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with quick deadlines and multiple demands.Ability to obtain and maintain all necessary licensing.Physical and Mental Demands:Regularly required to see, walk, talk and hear; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms.Must occasionally lift up to 10 pounds.Able to work with others while maintaining a positive and courteous demeanor.Equal Opportunity Employer This employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.
