Position Title: Manufacturing Planner (Electrical / Systems & Test / Structures) – 737 Program
Position Summary:
The 737 Program is seeking detail-oriented and proactive Manufacturing Planners across Electrical, Systems & Test, and Structures disciplines to support production, rate increases, and minor model certification efforts for 737 derivative aircraft.
These roles support the Electrical Corrective Action Team and broader Manufacturing Engineering Planning organization, working closely with Manufacturing Engineers, Design Engineers, and Shop Investigators to resolve emergent producibility and production issues on the factory floor.
The successful candidates will be responsible for updating and maintaining manufacturing installation plans, resolving production discrepancies, and ensuring manufacturing work instructions, bills of material, and illustrations are accurate and aligned with engineering intent.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Update and revise installation plans in CAPPII (Computer Aided Process Planning II)
- Update and maintain CMES (Common Manufacturing Execution System) records
- Process and manage Production Action Requests (PARs) in EWITS (Electrical Wiring Information Tracking System) – Electrical roles
- Perform producibility checks and release LCC changes and Production Illustration Revision Records (PIRRs) as required
- Create and revise Out-of-Sequence Installation Plans (OSIPs) supporting engineering and planning releases
- Reallocate wire bundles and LMIs to support emergent production requirements (Electrical roles)
- Ensure accuracy and quality of work instructions, BOMs, and manufacturing illustrations
- Coordinate and integrate with Manufacturing Engineering, Design Engineering, and production teams
- Investigate and resolve manufacturing and installation issues in a fast-paced production environment
- Review and approve supplier/manufacturing data to ensure compliance with requirements (Systems & Test / Structures roles)
- Provide tooling requirements based on engineering and manufacturing needs (Systems & Test / Structures roles)
Required Qualifications:
- 1+ year of experience in a manufacturing or production environment
- Ability to read, interpret, and understand engineering drawings and specifications
- 1+ year of related work experience or equivalent combination of education and experience (Associate level consideration)
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a high-volume production environment
Preferred Qualifications:
- 3+ years of related experience (Mid-Level) or 6+ years (Senior-Level) or equivalent education/experience
- Experience with Manufacturing Engineering planning systems such as:
- Product Data Manager (PDM)
- Computer Aided Process Planning (CAPP / CAPPII)
- REDARS (Reference Engineering Data Automated Retrieval System)
- WIRS (Wire Integration Retrieval System)
- ERP systems (e.g., ERP-LN)
- Experience working in aerospace manufacturing environments (737 or similar programs preferred)
- Strong coordination skills working with cross-functional engineering and manufacturing teams
- Ability to troubleshoot production and installation issues and drive timely resolution
