- Special Skills: EKG competency, wound management, JP drains, wound vacs, hemodialysis catheter care, PCA, pain management

- Pay Rate: $46.90/hour (approximate)

What You'll Do
- Provide exemplary patient care on a newly established Medical Surgical/telemetry unit
- Monitor and assess patients with conditions such as sepsis, cellulitis, DVT/PE, CHF, COPD, COVID, and PNA
- Assist with post-op overflow cases, including joint replacements and abdominal surgeries
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including RT, OT, PT, and hospitalists
- Support unit float requirements and adhere to hospital protocols
- Utilize EMR (Meditech Expanse), IV pumps (Alaris), and medication dispensing systems (Pyxis)
What You Need
- Valid RN license in Louisiana or ability to obtain one quickly
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience in acute medical-surgical or telemetry units
- BLS, ACLS, NIHSS certifications required
- Ability to pass an EKG competency exam prior to start date
- Strong wound management skills and experience with invasive devices preferred
- Flexibility to work every other weekend and occasional holidays
- Physically able to perform unit responsibilities and support a fast-paced environment
