Mentors and may supervise team members.You Have:5+ years of experience in a coatings, materials processing, manufacturing engineering, or process engineering environmentExperience transitioning coating processes from laboratory or prototype environments to pilot or production-scale manufacturingExperience conducting manufacturing trials, process development, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis for coating-related defects or process variabilityExperience evaluating manufacturing processes for repeatability, yield, throughput, quality, and scalabilityExperience with cross-functional leadership, including working across R&D, process engineering, quality, manufacturing, and suppliersAbility to translate technical coating requirements into repeatable manufacturing processes, work instructions, process specifications, and acceptance criteriaAbility to obtain a Secret clearanceBachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Materials Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or ChemistryNice If You Have:Experience supporting the transition of novel or emerging material technologies into commercial products a plusExperience operating in defense, aerospace, advanced manufacturing, automotive, industrial, or other highly controlled production environments a plusExperience with quality and performance control, including developing and validating specifications, such as thickness, uniformity, adhesion, curing and drying profiles, and defect ratesExperience establishing and controlling critical coating process parameters, including surface preparation, viscosity, coating thickness, application rate, temperature, cure conditions, and environmental conditions.Knowledge of material behavior analysis, including how substrates, binders, solvents, and additives behave when moving from small to large scaleKnowledge of coating application processes and equipment, including spray, roll, dip, flow, slot-die, or comparable deposition methodsClearance:Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.CompensationAt Booz Allen, we celebrate your contributions, provide you with opportunities and choices, and support your total well-being. The projected compensation range for this position is $77,600.00 to $176,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
