Position Overview Psychiatric Technician (Safety) position(s) located at Mule Creek State Prison (MCSP) in Ione, CA, Amador County. The position is part‑time (24 hours per week or .60 time). Monthly salary ranges from $3,680.40 to $4,705.80. Responsibilities Under the supervision of a Supervising Registered Nurse II/III, Correctional Facility Unit Supervisor (Safety), or Senior Psychiatric Technician (Safety), organize and provide basic general nursing and behavioral and psychiatric nursing care to patients in a correctional health setting. Deliver care in accordance with the Mental Health Program Guide, policies, procedures, and regulations. Provide care under valid authorization by a provider’s order and delegation and clinical direction of a Registered Nurse (RN). Support the care team with daily health‑care operations and communicate effectively with patients and team members. Address ongoing patient needs, collaborate with the larger health‑care team, and promote efficient, appropriate, and cost‑effective use of resources. Minimum Qualifications Valid license to practice as a Psychiatric Technician issued by the BVNPTE. Applicants within four months of completing the accredited Psychiatric Technician curriculum may be admitted to exam but must secure license before appointment.
