Serenity Hospice Care is looking for an compassionate and understanding  Massage Therapist  for our Northern region. This position requires exceptional empathy, sensitivity, and the ability to create a safe and soothing environment for patients experiencing end-of-life care. The primary responsibility of the Hospice Massage Therapist is to deliver therapeutic massages tailored to meet the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of terminally ill patients and their families.

Responsibilities:

• Provide massage therapy services to hospice patients, focusing on pain management, relaxation, and overall well-being.

• Conduct assessments of patient's physical conditions, medical histories, and individual needs to develop personalized massage treatment plans.

• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to ensure coordinated and holistic care for patients.

• Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of patient's massage therapy sessions.

• Offer emotional support and active listening to patients and their families, creating a safe and empathetic environment.

• Educate patients, families and caregivers about self-care techniques.

• Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Valid NJ Massage Therapist License.

• Clinical Massage experience required.

• Hospice experience preferred.

• 2 years of clinical experience required (hospital setting preferred).

• Excellent communication skills - verbal and written.

• Compassion and active listening skills.

• Attention to detail and strong documentation skills.

• Drivers License with reliable transportation.
