Summer/Year-round Part-Time NJYC Teachers/Crew Leaders

Qualifications Hold a New Jersey instructional certificate with appropriate subject area endorsement(s) for the position held Have excellent experience in teaching and working with at-risk students Hold a valid CDL driver's license to drive groups of students to various community service projects and events Demonstrate a comprehensive knowledge of the content field and describe ways in which the content can be organized into lessons for secondary students Demonstrate integrity and initiative Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of child growth and development, effective instructional strategies, classroom management, learning assessment and diagnosis, and research related to learning Exhibit a personality that demonstrates enthusiasm and interpersonal skills to relate well with students, staff, administration, parents, and the community Demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing, using proper grammar and vocabulary Must be currently employed by the District Meet such alternatives to above qualifications as the Superintendent may find appropriate and acceptable Paterson Public Schools is an Equal Opportunity and Affirmative Action Employer committed to building a diverse and inclusive workforce that reflects the community we serve.
