DIRECTOR OF HUMAN RESOURCES

Job Title

General Responsibilities: Directs human resource services for the Division in compliance with law, policy and regulations in a manner that will improve student achievement, enhance the human assets of the organization, promote employee morale and ensure that the Division is in compliance with all local, state and federal laws as well as FCCPS' policies and regulations. Responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining a human resources program to include recruitment, selection and retention of employees; employee relations; benefits and compensation; placement and evaluation of division personnel employment; employee counseling, development and professional growth; and internal employee communication. Responsible for recommending changes in policy and practice in consideration of the legal requirements as they pertain to Division operations and functions.

Education and Experience: Possess at least a bachelor's degree. Master's degree preferred A minimum of five years progressively more responsible experience in Human Resource Management or a related field Demonstrated knowledge and application of effective human resources principles, best practices, and trends

Physical Requirements: Sensory skills to effectively communicate and interact with other employees and the public through the use of the telephone and personal contact as normally defined by the ability to see, read, talk, hear, handle or feel objects and controls. Physical capability to effectively use and operate various items of office related equipment, such as, but not limited to: a personal computer, calculator, copier, fax machine and projection and video devices. Ability to engage in significant climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, or repetitive motions.
