Turner Specialty Services is looking for a Hydroblasting Supervisor to join our Specialty Services team in the Monroe, LA area. Specialty Services Supervisors must be knowledgeable of new hydroblasting technology (automation), be capable of exercising independent judgement, and directing groups of workers engaged in hydroblasting and vacuum field. On certain projects, a supervisor may perform similar dues supervising workers engaged in several occupations.

Essential Qualifications:

• Minimum one (1) year experience as a Foreman/Crew leader in specified skill or equivalent combinations or training and related experience in the hydroblasting and vacuum field
• TWIC card required
• Post-offer drug/alcohol screen and physical evaluation
• OSHA approved corrective eye wear (Z87)
• Job site safety requirements as required by the client (clean shaven, long sleeves, steel toe boots, etc.)
• Safety equipment as required by the client (hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, respirator, hearing protection, safety harness with lanyard, etc.)
• Applicant/employee must not pose a direct threat to the health or safety of such individual or others in the work place

Functional Requirements:

Interprets blueprints, sketches, written and/or verbal orders; estimates worker-hours and materials required to complete the job; assigns duties, lines up and follows up all work and is responsible for production of the unit; inspects work to ensure adherence to company standards; trains and assists workers in performance of their duties; supervises and coordinates activities of assigned construction workers; interprets company policies to workers and enforces safety regulations; establishes and adjusts work sequences to meet construction schedule, using knowledge of capacities of equipment and assigned personnel; analyzes and resolves work related problems; implements project safety programs; may maintain time, production and other records; may study schedules and estimate worker-hour requirements for completion of job; may make cost estimates for contracts; performs additional assignments as required.

Compensation

Final agreed upon compensation is based upon individual qualifications and experience.

Physical Involvement:

May be required to do the following: climbing ladders, scaffolds, structures, etc. above and below ground level; maintaining balance on ladders, scaffolds, structures, etc.; reaching in all directions; handling and manipulating objects and materials; coordinating the movements of eyes, hands and fingers to operate tools and equipment; lifting 30 to 50 pounds from ground level, waist level, and/or overhead; carrying objects, tools, equipment, etc.; standing / sitting; walking; pushing; pulling; bending; kneeling; crouching/squatting ; seeing with or without correction; hearing with or without correction; wearing respirator and other PPE; typing /data entry; stepstool use; work in excessive heat; work in excessive cold; work in loud environment
