Required Qualifications Valid Physical Therapy license in compliance with state regulations Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC) Preferred Qualifications Doctorate degree in physical therapy Physical Therapy experience; new graduates welcome Additional certifications or licenses as applicable Summary The Physical Therapist evaluates, diagnoses, and treats patients with physical impairments to improve mobility, reduce pain, and enhance quality of life. The role requires strong clinical skills, effective communication, critical thinking, and a commitment to safe, high‑quality patient care. Essential Work Functions Evaluate patients’ conditions using standardized tests, exams, and history to identify functional limitations and treatment needs Develop personalized rehabilitation programs based on assessment findings and patient goals Implement physical therapy treatment plans with various techniques to improve mobility and reduce pain Operate specialized equipment and modalities safely, ensuring proper maintenance and calibration Assess patient progress, adjust treatment plans as necessary, and document evaluations, interventions, and outcomes in the medical record Collaborate with physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, and other health‑care professionals to coordinate care and optimize outcomes Educate patients and caregivers on exercise programs, body mechanics, injury prevention, and self‑management to promote long‑term recovery Maintain a safe environment by adhering to infection‑control protocols and safety guidelines while addressing patients’ comfort needs Participate in quality assurance initiatives and professional development activities to stay current with best practices Collaborate in discharge planning to ensure smooth transitions to community or home‑based settings Perform other duties as assigned within scope of practice Required Essential Skills Critical thinking, service excellence, and strong interpersonal communication Reading, writing, and communicating in English Ability to read and follow written and verbal instructions; proficiency with PC skills Physical abilities: maintain stationary position, move equipment (50‑100 lbs), push, pull, bend Interpersonal skills: work effectively with diverse personnel and maintain a positive, professional attitude Technical/motor skills: fine manipulation, assist with procedures, use department equipment safely Mental requirements: handle frequent public interaction, meet deadlines under pressure, work independently as well as under supervision as needed, maintain concentration during irregular schedules Sensory requirement: visual acuity and effective communication Benefits Include Highly competitive pay for travel professionals Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance with first‑day coverage Paid Time Off (PTO) after 1560 hours Life and short‑term disability 401(k) matching Aggressive referral‑bonus program 24/7 recruiter support Reimbursement for licensure and CEUs Travel Compensation Pay package based on 12‑hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation).
