What You Will Do:
- Develop and execute comprehensive EHS strategies aligned with corporate objectives.
- Monitor and analyze KPI metrics to drive continuous improvement in safety and environmental performance.
- Communicate results, initiatives, and action plans to all levels of the organization.
- Collaborate with legal and communications teams to manage incident responses effectively.
- Stay current with federal, state, and local EHS regulations, ensuring full compliance.
- Manage EHS budget and resources effectively.
- Engage and lead cross-functional teams in cultivating a safety-first culture.
- Implement and maintain EHS management systems, including best practices and processes.
- Provide training and development to foster staff awareness and responsibility.
- Facilitate Workers' Compensation processes and leverage benchmarking to adopt best practices.
Required Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Safety and Environmental Management, Industrial Hygiene, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in safety and environmental management.
- Strong knowledge of OSHA, EPA, DOT regulations, and management systems such as ISO 14001.
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Proven leadership in change initiatives and safety culture development.
- Strong problem-solving, judgment, and decision-making abilities.
Nice to Have Skills:
- Experience with Process Safety Management and Risk Management programs.
- Professional certifications such as CHCM, CSP, ASP, or OSHA 30-hour.
- Knowledge of state and federal rules including EEO, FDA & USDA requirements.
- Prior experience working within the manufacturing or food production industries.
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Safety and Environmental Management or related fields.
- 3-5 years of relevant industry experience, preferably in manufacturing environments.
- Certifications in safety, ergonomics, or hazard control are advantageous.
Other Requirements:
- Willingness to travel as needed for training, audits, or regulatory inspections.
