ICU Registered Nurse - Float Pool

Location: Portland, Maine

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Job Description: We are seeking an experienced ICU Registered Nurse to join our Float Pool team. This position requires flexibility to float across various ICUs, including Neuro ICU, Surgical/Trauma ICU, Cardiac ICU, and CTICU, based on patient care needs and nurse capabilities. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality critical care for patients requiring specialized attention.

Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to ICU patients, including sedated, intubated patients on pressors.
• Float to different ICU units as needed, ensuring adherence to patient safety and care standards.
• Maintain patient ratios of 1:2 in ICU settings and 1:3 in IMC.
• Collaborate effectively with team members to support outstanding patient care.
• Document care activities and patient progress in the EMR system (EPIC).

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Minimum of 3 years of ICU nursing experience.
• Current RN license in the state of Maine.
• Ability to float between various ICU units based on patient care needs.
