Overview Job Location: Walnut Lane Branch - North Augusta, SC 29860 Position Type: Full Time Education Level: High School Salary Range: $17.25 - $17.25 Hourly Job Shift: Day Job Category: Customer Service Pre-employment background checks, such as criminal reports, credit reports, and drug tests, will be required. Responsibilities Under the direction of the Branch Manager, Assistant Branch Manager, or Front-Line Service Supervisor, create a positive and engaging member experience. Receives and processes transactions from natural person members, guests, business members, and fiduciary accounts with excellent member service. Promotes a positive image of the Credit Union both inside and outside the workplace. Offer Credit Union products and services to current and potential members. Promote Credit Union services using the “member benefit-based approach.” Fully comply with SRP Credit Union policies, procedures, guidelines, and service standards, including but not limited to the Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act, and OFAC Policies. Represent the Credit Union professionally and courteously to members and potential members. Provide prompt, efficient, accurate, and friendly service in processing transactions. Refer, sell, and cross-sell Credit Union products and services. Promote services using a member benefit-based approach to help members achieve their financial goals. Process cash and check transactions in a fast-paced environment while verifying proper endorsements and negotiability. Adhere to check acceptance policies, obtain proper approvals when needed, and proactively deter fraud. Process all other teller transactions. Ask questions during member interactions and use active listening and communication skills to uncover needs. Make referrals to appropriate contacts. Maintain a positive can-do attitude and provide excellent member service. Advise members on Credit Union routine services and policies, including explaining what a Credit Union is (philosophy). Educate members on online and mobile banking services that enable members to conduct their business anytime from anywhere. Proofs work as posted to improve accuracy and reduce errors. Reconcile all transactions at the end of each day, including balancing cash and checks. Serve as backup and relief for other tellers at different locations when needed. Possess excellent communication skills, speak clearly, and maintain a pleasant tone. Demonstrate active listening and quickly build rapport with others to grow and maintain member relationships. Demonstrate exceptional teamwork and potentially mentor new employees. Other tasks may be assigned by appropriate line supervision. Supervisory Responsibilities There are no supervisory responsibilities in this position. Qualifications Education and/or Experience High school diploma or GED. 6 months - at least 1+ year of member/customer service and cash handling experience. Excellent math skills. May be required to walk, stoop, kneel, or crouch; occasionally required to sit, climb, or balance. Must be able to lift to 25 lbs. Requires ability to communicate effectively in person, on the phone, and via digital channels.
