Registered Nurse - Telemetry

Job Description

Job Summary:
Provide specialized nursing care to telemetry patients, monitoring cardiac activity and ensuring patient safety. Collaborate with healthcare teams to deliver quality patient outcomes during night shifts.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor patient cardiac rhythms and respond promptly to abnormal findings.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
• Document patient conditions and interventions accurately in electronic health records.
• Communicate effectively with healthcare team members regarding patient status.
• Educate patients and families about cardiac conditions and care plans.
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies, safety protocols, and infection control standards.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active PA or Compact RN license.
• Possess a minimum of 1 year of recent telemetry nursing experience.
• Maintain current BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Demonstrate proficiency with Cerner or equivalent electronic health record systems.
• Be willing to float within the hospital and to sister facilities within a 10-mile radius.
• Successful completion of necessary background checks, drug screens, and mandatory onboarding modules.
