Physical Therapy Assistant | LTAC Location: Waldorf, Maryland, United States Travel assignment in a long-term acute care (LTAC) / nursing home rehab setting Start date: 11/02/2026 Duration: 13 weeks Weekly pay: $1,648 – $1,733 per week Guaranteed hours: 35 per week Shift: 5x8 days (08:00–16:30) Employer: Healthforce Healthcare LLC Job type: Travel - Temporary Assignment Key Highlights Travel assignment in a long-term care rehabilitation setting 13-week contract with guaranteed 35 hours per week Day shift, 8.5 hours per day, 5 days per week Realistic weekly pay range: $1,648 – $1,733 Start date: 11/02/2026 Staffing organization: Healthforce Healthcare LLC Licensed supervision by a physical therapist on site Responsibilities Provide physical therapy assistant services under supervision of a licensed physical therapist in an LTAC/nursing home rehab setting Implement treatment plans, including therapeutic exercises, gait training, balance, strength, ROM, and functional mobility activities Assist with patient evaluations and progress notes; document interventions and outcomes in the patient record per policy Monitor patient responses to therapy, report changes, and ensure patient safety and infection control during all activities Collaborate with the PT, nursing staff, and rehabilitation team to coordinate care and optimize patient progress Educate patients and families on home exercise programs and ongoing self-management strategies Requirements Willingness to work in a LTAC/nursing home environment in Waldorf, MD Availability for a 13-week travel assignment with guaranteed hours Ability to work 8.5-hour day shifts (08:00–16:30) and maintain 35 guaranteed hours per week Strong communication and teamwork skills; ability to follow a plan of care under supervision Prior physical therapy assistant experience in inpatient, subacute, or LTAC settings preferred Must be legally eligible to work in the United States Benefits and Support 24/7 recruiter and travel support Dedicated support throughout the assignment Assistance with onboarding, credentialing, and orientation Travel resources and guidance to help manage the assignment Pay Disclaimer Please note: Pay rates and guaranteed hours are estimates and may vary.
